🔥 About the Role
As a Welder, you’ll be responsible for interpreting drawings, preparing materials, and welding components in accordance with technical specifications. You’ll work on a variety of fabrication and construction projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication
- Cut metal sections using hand tools, flame-cutting torches, and cutting machines
- Shape and bend metal parts using tools or by heating and hammering
- Align parts using precision instruments and secure joints through welding, bolting, or riveting
- Perform welding using various techniques including GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and MMAW
- Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and finish
- Finish products by grinding, filing, polishing, or acid-bathing where required
- Maintain safety and quality compliance in all work
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on welding experience
- Must provide recent work references and salary evidence (e.g., pay slips, employment certificates)
- Proficiency in multiple welding positions
- Experience with GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, MMAW is highly valued
- Ability to follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and interpret fabrication drawings
- Skilled in metal preparation, shearing, assembly, and finishing techniques
- Possession of a Welding Qualification Test Record (WQTR / WPQTR) is an advantage
- Good English communication skills
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate with a vocational diploma or short course certificate in welding or metal fabrication
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience
