We are currently recruiting experienced Wall and Floor Tilers to join leading construction and interior fit-out companies across Australia. 🧰 About the Role
As a Wall and Floor Tiler, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, laying tiles, applying grouting, and ensuring a high-quality finish in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You’ll work with various tile materials and patterns, contributing to aesthetically appealing and functional spaces.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans
- Measure and mark surfaces accurately for tile placement
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, removing old material, and filling holes or cracks
- Spread adhesives and lay tiles with proper alignment and spacing
- Use tile-cutting tools to shape tiles for corners, edges, and around fixtures
- Grout tiles and clean surfaces, ensuring a quality finish
- Apply waterproofing systems as needed
- May lay granolithic, terrazzo, cement floors or create decorative mosaics
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
- Must be able to provide at least 1 year of recent work references and salary evidence (e.g., pay slips, employment certificates)
- Experience with ceramic, porcelain, marble, and granite tiles
- Skilled in reading plans and executing tile layouts accurately
- Good English communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate with a vocational diploma or short course certificate in tiling, masonry, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
