Common tasks that you may perform include:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on agricultural or farm equipment.
- Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and conduct necessary repairs.
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- May inspect equipment and issue worthiness certificated or detail work required to achieve worthiness.
To apply for this role, you must have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ working experience as Diesel Mechanic for agricultural or farm equipment such as John Deere, Case, Kubota, New Holland, MTZ, Kuhn, CLAAS, Vermeer, AGCO, Caterpillar.
- Must have experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Must have experience in fitting, machining, assembly and disassembly of mechanical parts of equipment and machineries.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Good English communication skills.
- Be able to provide work references and salary evidence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and at least a vocational diploma, or short course certificate
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience
