Common tasks that you may perform include:
- Reviews project plans and specifications to understand project requirements, then projects the overall costs of materials, labor and planning of construction
- Conducts site visits to gather information and assess project conditions
- Researches and obtains quotes, then negotiates deals with suppliers and subcontractors
- Collaborates with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and contractors to clarify project details
- Prepares and presents cost plans to clients and stakeholders, and recommends ways to reduce costs
- Assists in the negotiation and settlement of project tenders.
- Minimum of 5 years’ working experience as Construction Estimator
- Proven experience in preparing accurate estimates for construction projects
- Proficient in analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to estimate labor, materials, time and equipment required construction jobs
- Ability to help the organization make informed decisions and ensure project profitability
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Be able to provide work references and salary evidence
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
