Common tasks that you may perform include:
- Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
- Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components
- Installing electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
- Connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply
- Adjusting engine control systems and timing
- Testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors
- Repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring
- Replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches
To apply for this role, you must have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ working experience as an Auto Electician
- Must be able to provide at least 3 years recent work references and salary evidence (documents)
- Must have experience servicing light vehicles, trucks, and/or heavy equipment
- Must have experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Must have proficiency in using diagnostic tools for electrical issues
- Good English communication skills
- Be able to provide work references and salary evidence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and at least a vocational diploma, or short course certificate
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
