We are currently hiring highly skilled Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanics for our clients across Australia. If you have hands-on experience with installation, diagnostics, and repair of refrigeration and cooling systems—including refrigerated trucks and vans—this is your chance to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment abroad.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and specifications to determine job requirements and lay out installation reference points
- Install brackets, drill holes, cut, bend, and thread piping as needed for system layouts
- Install and repair essential components including compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, gauges, switches, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, oil, and water systems
- Perform bolting, soldering, brazing, riveting, and welding to assemble or repair systems
- Fill systems with gas or fluid and inspect for leaks or inefficiencies
- Test and adjust refrigeration systems for proper operation
- Remove test substances using vacuum pumps and fill with correct refrigerants
- Conduct inspections, identify faults, and repair or replace defective components
- Calibrate and reset system controls and mechanisms
- Maintain service records, documenting faults and corrective actions taken
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic
- Must have relevant experience as a Refrigerated Truck/Van Service Technician or Mechanic
- Skilled in interpreting technical diagrams and wiring schematics
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles and components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control systems
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical components and control systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Good English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to provide supporting documents for visa application (valid passport, police clearances, reference letters, pay slips or government contribution records, educational certificates, etc.)
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- Previously worked as a Refrigeration or Reefer Mechanic
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Vocational or short course certificate in refrigeration and air-conditioning or related field is preferred
