📊 About the Role
As an Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in financial planning, analysis, compliance, and reporting. You will provide expert insights that help drive business decisions and ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
🧾 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement budgetary and accounting policies
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management, boards, and regulators
- Conduct audits and financial investigations, including reports on mergers, acquisitions, capital financing, and taxation
- Analyze organizational income and expenditures, identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Provide financial advice on business operations, structures, and strategies
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions to manage funds and investments
- Maintain and improve accounting systems and internal controls
- Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with employee-related financial obligations
- Support inventory and stock control through system-based audits and reconciliations
✅ What We’re Looking For
- At least 7 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, and data analysis)
- Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems
- Experience in stock control systems including conducting and reconciling stock takes
- Excellent English communication skills
- Able to provide full documentation to support a visa application
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant full-time experience
